Well designed, easy to use electronic educational toy that is perfect for 1st or 2nd graders (or advanced kindergarten kids). This is not quite as versatile or advanced as the Speak’n’Spell of the old days, but it’s compact size makes it perfect to fit in a backpack for travel — just be sure parents have a few extra batteries on hand.

Gray for repeated review. Only negative is it need to be back lite or brighter. The viewing window is dim and the letters can be difficult to differentiate at times.

Great learning toy
This is a great additional tool I used for homeschooling. My son is a kinesthetic learner so Iâm constantly looking for ways we can utilize hands on learning. Language arts is one particularly difficult subject to be able to find hands on learning tools so when I found this I was ecstatic! I just wish it had more words. My son used it a lot in the beginning but now he pretty much knows all the words because there was not very many. Iâm now using it with my 5 year old so itâs still getting used and we like it, just wish it had more words.

Awesome device!
My kids love this device! They enjoy learning to problem solve which letter makes the word. We do not use the timer yet as they are not ready for that but their understanding of words has gotten a lot better because they are constantly playing with this. It’s also small and light enough to carry with to places. The only issue I have is turning off the sound I struggle putting it in mute mode but honestly it’s nice to hear the positive dings when they get the word right.

Cannot See the Words
I thought this would be a great tool to help my kindergartener with his reading, but you cannot even see the letters on the screen when it is turned on. It makes it impossible to use.
