Shovel part great, axe loosened up but install a bigger o- ring no more loosening, works like it needs to you will have to sharpen it to make it ideal. Making kindling for fire good. Quality above the norm so far,Fire start work but use a lighter,A lot bigger than expected witch is awesome.Will work in a pinch.

***EDIT***A new kit was sent & the extensions seem stronger than the original ones. The compass is also seated differently so might be better than the original.Once I am able to use it I will do a review.Finally got to use the kit after waiting a year to go camping.The first time we used the axe, the hollow attachment tube snapped where it attached so that it was no longer usable.The axe itself comes loose after a few swings & eventually, because it wobbled, one of the rivet things broke, so now the axe is completely unusable.I’m very thankful that we knew how to start a fire using burnable materials & had a lighter because the fire starter wouldn’t spark for anything.The compass didn’t work properly as it always showed North no matter which direction we were facing.Since this says lifetime replacement, I tried to contact support but the options under “product support” lead nowhere & the option for “problem with the order” doesn’t appear since it was ordered so long ago.

Edit: customer service was fast and responsive to the matter. They made it right. So with that Iâm giving 5 stars because most companies hardly even reply back. Also the rest of the tool seemed to function as it should.Took it out one time the axe seemed to be ok but the shovel. Well it lasted less the then 4 holes. Holes were about 6 maybe 8 inches deep. And the threads stripped and not repairable it even stripped the threads inside the handle. For $70 I think it was a waste of money TBH.

Will update this review after we use it when we go camping over the weekend.So, after taking it camping with us and putting it to use, the initial impression remains. Shovel works as it should. The axe is a bit too light to be used for chopping firewood but is sharp enough to chop smaller wood. Hammer works well. Whistle works as it should. Included knife is passable but have not yet put it to use along with the other add ons.Overall, I will recommend this set!
