One of my son’s favourite author who also wrote a series of books “Pig in Jeans.” After reading this book a few times to my son (4 years old) he seemed to grasp the idea of determination. I had accidentally spilled some milk after a pumping session, my son heard me being upset and told me, “it’s ok mommy, you can try again and don’t give up.” Definitely a great story for your little one!
Siski –
This book could’ve been written about my daughter. She literally put salt in instead of sugar once, and another time she dropped the bowl of sugar and butter/eggs on the wooden floor where it flowed stickily into every crevice possible. She said she’d never cook again. But she did! Taking it a lot more slowly and with lots of deep breaths in between stages.I really liked the funny illustrations, the way it’s written (funny!) and I absolutely LOVE the lesson. Wish I’d had this book to give my daughter years ago!

This book makes me laugh out loud. Both adults and kids can identify the serious mistakes that Milo makes in his baking experiences. As a reader, I almost want to shout out to Milo… “No! Don’t do that!” The illustrations are hilarious – especially the expressions on the characters’ faces. The story also teaches us persistence and hard work will pay off. I definitely recommend this book.
