Great Value – Mediocre Kit
For $20, this offers great value, and some functional supplies in a good bag.
My main issue with it, is that it doesn’t really suite my experience for first aid in in the wild (office worker and waitressing use). A variety of bandaids is good, but you need ointment which this doesn’t have. You also don’t need 40 alcohol wipes, and I think specialty tools like the CPR mask are practically useless when you are actually trying to deal with an emergency.
The flashlight is very basic. Just click on and off, and takes AA. I use Ni-MH in the car, as they don’t explode like alkaline.
The knife is pointy on the tip, but dull on the edge. The card tool is a waste of space next to a mini-adjustable wrench or needle nose pliers.
For first aid kits, think about what you’d reach for at home, and just put that in your car. Replace the perishables every fall (after the summer heat destroys the contents), or keep those in your EDC/Purse and just be sure to use the kit every once in a while to make sure it’s still got the things you need. I put anything I use on my shopping list, that way it gets replaced once I get home.
Overall, this is a good start to a kit, and gets you thinking about what you really need. For emergencies, consider quikclot powder or sponges and tourniquets. Also consider having a much, much better pair of sheers that will be able to cut through thick clothing.

Compact and well stocked!
This is such a great kit! It has everything you need for a starter kit, and doesn’t take up much space. The bag it’s in is well made and looks great. I have this in the car in case it’s needed during hikes, playing in open fields with our dog, and it’s not an eyesore in my trunk which I appreciate.

Pretty good starter first aid kit.
In general you are usually better off putting together a first aid kit that suits your specific needs as you get more bang of your buck. That being said, for the price of the kit and the case it comes with, its hard to go wrong with this setup. The bag is nicer and larger than I expected. There is a detachable MOLLE panel that velcros to the back of the bag and has a cinch strap that wraps around the bag. This is nice in that it affords versatility in the way you mount/carry this kit in or on your gear or vehicle. The nylon is of good enough quality for all but the most decerning outdoors person.
As far as the contents, it’s an ok jumping off point for a first aid kit. As it stands it would be fine for most small boo boos, buts it’s a bit lacking for larger, more traumatic wound care. Do some research and figure out what you might need given your circumstances. Overall the contents is more than serviceable. The “survival” items quality are just OK. You are not going to build a shelter out of a fallen tree with the included items, but in a pinch you can use them to get by. The trauma shears are fine enough for their purpose and the two chem lights are a nice addition.
The one glaring omission is there is no antibiotic/multi-use ointment to speak of or any general use oral medication. An easy fix, but I thought it was worth the mention. The other odd inclusion is an inordinate amount of cotton swabs and alcohol prep pads. If you are really into cleaning you ears, this set is for you. You can get rid of 80% of the cotton swabs and prep pads and replace them with more effective items depending on you needs.
Overall a nice starter first aid kit in a good case that you can throw in your trunk or back pack and be decently prepared without any modifications. With a little thought and effort you can make this kit more in tune with whatever circumstances you might come across and be well prepared with a nice loadout in a nice bag. For the price this is an easy recommend.

Travel first aid
We take a lot of road trips with friends to go on adventures and help out at their farms and such. My husband is constantly getting injured at this so I knew I needed to be better prepared. This kit is perfect! I had my son who is an EMS review the contents and he also approved. I clip it to my toiletries bag and it has gone all over the place with us and I have such peace of mind!

Thorough kit with quality pieces, bag
We’re the type to have a first aid kit in every bathroom, the garage, the car – places you may need something in a hurry. Especially now that we have a toddler running around.
When I saw this kit, it looked perfect for the car. We had one in the glove box which was about to expire, and this one is slightly larger but will still fit.
I especially liked the “survival” nature of this kit. Unlike most others, it contains a multi-tool (see my pics) and a foldable knife (also in my pics). They aren’t the dollar store variety; these are some decent, thick pieces of metal, and all the blades are super sharp.
There’s a variety of other survival-centric gear, some you’d find in typical kits like glowsticks and a mylar blanket, but this also has a bracelet compass. Not the kind of thing I imagine we’ll find ourselves in a situation to have to use but cool to know it’s in there.
Other than that, it contains everything else you’d expect: plenty of bandages, alcohol wipes, gloves, you name it, all meticulously packed into this very compact bag.
The bag itself is very nice, too! It’s a thicker quality with a velcro strap that crosses over the top as a second safeguard against the kit accidentally opening (beyond the zipper).
If you’re going to be outdoors and isolated, this certainly seems like a great kit to grab. Or, if you’re like us and just super paranoid, fantastic kit for the car.
