Great to teach friendship skills
I love all of Gabi Garcia’s books. I use them in guidance lessons as an elementary school counselor. This newest one is about teaching how to be a good friend. The book gives a good example of being a good friend to yourself first. If you a good friend to yourself you can be a good friend to others. She also gives tips on how to be comforting and kind to yourself and others.

At any age, we can learn to be a good friend to ourselves.
This book is truly for all ages. I am in my forties and just learning to befriend myself. For a young child to learn how to comfort themselves is a wonderful gift. Children are very bright and when they are beating themselves up, it is a nice offering to say, âWhat would you tell your friend if they were having this same struggle?â Thank you, Gabi!
