Wow! I rarely buy cookbooks now because there is so much available on the internet, but this book is worth the purchase. I just received mine yesterday and stayed up late reading it. There are 2 things that make this book stand out. First, the America’s Test Kitchen chefs do the best job of testing recipes, methods, ingredients, etc… so you know they’ll be good. Second, this is much more than a book of recipes. There are useful tips, explanations for why they chose a certain item (e.g. dried beans vs canned, brand recommendations), and excellent charts that compare different types of legumes or fish or beans. I’m a graduate of the CIA and this book is certainly as good as our textbooks. I plan to look at more ATK books.

A perfect keto!
This book is simple to follow and read, but it contains all of the necessary information to understand the whats and whys. The menu and shopping list were particularly appealing to me. There are also three different ways to begin this way in the book, one of which is health-related, so you can choose what makes sense for you. There are meal plans available as well, which can be extremely useful when starting this type of diet. It’s something I’d strongly suggest.

I took on the Keto diet to improve multiple health areas in my life, on a whim i ordered this cookbook and I have never been so pleased! The book includes pictures of the food which makes it more inticing, the instructions are clear, concise, and super easy to make. The best part, the food actually tastes amazing. Everything I have made has been incredible! Could not recommend more.

Cookbook is just meh…
We started the Keto diet & thought this cookbook would be a wonderful addition to give us variety. Itâs just ok. I guess I was expecting more… that the items were indexed in different ways besides just breakfast lunch and dinner. As a person with food allergies I was also hoping for some substitutions or better variety. But the most disappointing aspect is how terrible the editing was. Clearly the same recipes were used over & over with just slight modifications (but the contents or directions were not updated). The book version I received also has MS Word based comments inserted on some pages (face palm!). IDK… maybe it will redeem itself. Iâll give it a few days of a try & return if not satisfied.

I love this cookbook! I decided to start eating plant-based earlier this year, and I was initially struggling to find reliable recipes that were easy to make. This cookbook has everything from entrees, sides and even making your own sauces/condiments. My favorite part are the instructions, as they are extremely straightforward and easy to follow. I would recommend this book for anyone that is looking to try a plant-base diet.

This cookbook is poorly edited and it doesnât help you easily find recipes. They ARE sorted into Breakfast, Lunch, Sides, Snacks/Appetizers, Seafood, Poultry, Meat, Vegetables, Desserts⦠but there is no index. I donât think Iâve ever owned a cookbook without a proper index. In the front with the Table of Contents, the recipes arenât alphabetical or anything to ease finding a previously made favorite.The grammar is awful. The formatting is random. Some recipes are centered on the page, some arenât. Some are italicized, some arenât (I have not found that there is any significance such as very low carb recipes being italicized, etc.). The different categories (i.e. Seafood, Meats, etc.) donât really have any sort of distinguishing thing to grab your eye as you flip through pages – no large header or anything. Everything is the same size font and just difficult to skim through.The couple pictures included are also black and white. I can live without pictures but they are nice to have periodically in a cookbook.I havenât yet delved into the recipes in this book (they may be amazing), but just on the surface itâs pretty low quality. Donât let the nice cover fool you – it is about the same quality as a local church cookbook⦠maybe less. Itâs almost like a .txt file of recipes collected from Pinterest. Had I been able to physically look at the book before ordering, I wouldnât have ordered it.

It is written like a science text book and not a diet book. It is the best guide for even someone who has done keto for a long time like myself. There is always room to learn more and get more out of the keto lifestyle!I think the distinctions that set them apart from other keto experts will be key in helping me lose weight and heal various issues.
