I loved The House on Hope Street. It’s about a happy family but then…tragedy – and how they deal with it. Was it easy? No but they work through it and come through it to a happy ending. Different but happy, and that’s what matters. I would have tissues handy but it is worth reading through to the ending. I love Danielle Steel and her novels. â¤ï¸

I liked this book because of the characters and how they all eventually came together through so much upheaval in their lives. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it highly. The mother in the story was courageous, strong and truly admirable.

This book…. Can’t think of an appropriate summary.
ALTHOUGH I finished reading the book, it was. very easy to put it down. Even in the middle of a chapter, which isn’t something I normally do. I tend to stick my kindle in my bag and try to read at any free moment that I have. The plot is repetitious to many of her novels. At one time, about 15 years ago, I could read her books, maybe 10 different ones then actually go back and read them again. Thurston House, Silent honor, Jewels, The RIng… Her earlier books were amazing! I definitely can’t see myself reading this one out we again. In fact I’m feeling nostalgic, can’t think of the title right now, the one where the father kills the mother, or the one where they move (necessary) into a guest home during the reign of Hitler.. or Kaleidoscope .. wow, now many of her books are running through my mind. Her earlier books were truly works of art! … anyone agree or have a suggestion as to which of her other titles are reminiscent of her earlier books? Although I think I’ve read them all.. Gina 🙂
