    Good Introduction
Still reading. Random thoughts:Wish there were more pictures of the muscle groups, went to internet for the pics. My local rec centre has more machines but I consider this book to be a good start to a fitness program. Hope I don’t get injured.

loved it, bought my kindle copy so I can …
I discovered this book at my library after I got tired of over paying for trainers at the gym, loved it, bought my kindle copy so I can easily take it on the road. This book contains everything you need to put together your own customized strength and cardio fitness plan. I highly recommend it for anyone at the beginner or intermediate level. It covers advance level, but I haven’t gotten there yet.

Maybe more of a beginners Bible
While the book does have a lot of good info I was hoping for more specifics on how different postures in the same movements will stress (target) different muscular aspects. I did find a small amount of ‘variation’ info just not as much as I’d hoped,… esp. considering it’s a ”Bible”. I feel the info contained seems more basic and doesn’t have much in depth explanations.

what a waste of money!-i expected more from these two writers as i have purchased previous publications-this book doesnt know what it wants to be. it is a book that is addressed to total novices with social problems, who are afraid to ask the gym what kind of equipment is used when..to all marketing genius outhere, there is only one motive for some one to buy a book about exercise and this is the program..instead of giving you a total plan of well related programs, including functional exercise , as promoted in the cover, this book wastes space to analyze the equipment as a good advertising newletter, it includes some programs , in which exercises arent even indicated with numbers, so you need to read the text every time to see supersets, and how to apply the plan…total mess, unrelated info, implemented through 400 pages, no structure, it indicates functional exercises, but the plans contain very few, it promotes equipment but the plans doesnt contain exercises with equipment (mostly)-some good tips here and there-a total disappointment-The only reason we buy this book is to have a well organized plan , and this is what i want a plan that carries out through time, with functional exercises, conditioning, books like NROL, david Roundolf publications, the total body impact plan, and some previous menshealth books, that included plans by week. The plans are poor, the segments of exercise are here and there, and it seems like a republication without even incorporating a decent amount of exercise plans-less than paid for, a total disappointment i still wait for a book that will include the new trends in a year long plan
