Such a great education tool
My kids have thoroughly enjoyed learning about their microbiome with this book. It has cute illustrations and is so easy for them to comprehend. It has made me saying no to some foods alot easier too! I highly recommend this book to educate your children about how what we feed our body really matters!

Awesome!
This book is very well written, and the art is adorable. It presents more complex ideas in ways that are easy for children to understand. As a parent to a child with ASD who needs to know “why,” this has been a huge help. Would recommend 100%.

Such fun and simple concepts for kids
We loved reading this book as a family! It has such simple concepts such as “bad guys vs good guys” which even my 3 year old can understand. The book gives great examples of foods that support good guys vs bad guys and it was fun coming up with even more ideas as we were reading the book so that we could connect the messaging with our every day life! Thanks for making a book like this to help educate our littles!

Good for adults too!
I bought this book to help explain our food choices to my kids, but itâs also informational for adults. I know I learned new things! The illustrations are sweet and the words are simple and easy to understand – as well as easy to read for some of those younger kids/early readers. The end even has helpful snack options if youâre just starting on a journey of helping your gut. Very lovely book!

Great Resource
We read this books and my kids still talk about it “Mom, will this food feed the good guys or the bad guys?”. It’s helped my kids better understand the “why” behind the foods I offer and why I don’t don’t usually offer the treats. It also gives practical examples of foods that are good for the gut and my kids were excited to recognize some of their favorite foods on there. This also helped give my kids a better understanding of what good food choices look like and they are now making better choices and feeling empowered to do so.

Learning and Fun for Everyone
The Army Inside You is my familyâs new favorite book. Instead of kept on our bookshelf itâs actually kept in the kitchen! I canât tell you how many times my little ones have referenced to it during meal times and itâs even offered me healthy food ideas to offer my entire family. We learned so much reading this book and had lots of fun as the content and illustrations are done in a way thatâs approachable and appropriate for all ages. Hoping the author and illustrator team up again to write more books on healthy living! I know this one has sure made a difference in how we think, talk about, and eat food!

Great book
Great book to start the conversation about the importance of gut health I took a star out for using the term bad foods on one page, I wish they said unhealthy choices instead as we try to not refer to food as bad to avoid unhealthy food connections.

References?
Provides valuable information in an easily received way. There is certainly educational experience reflected within it. Very well written and fair visuals ( the photo parts are a nice addition). References listed at the end would make this piece stronger and be greatly appreciated.

My sons really like this book. My youngest likes the battles between the good bacteria and bad bacteria. And both of them say that the book has taught them that it’s okay to eat junk food sometimes, but not too often. Brilliant book, highly recommended.

Great little book for learning about the microbiome in the gut.

Great book that achieved what I wanted for my little one. Only negative is that I am not a fan of the texture on the front cover. It is also very thin and the cover creased very easily.
