A delightful adventure that encourages healthy eating!
As a parent, I’m always on the lookout for books that not only entertain my kids but also teach valuable life lessons, and “The Monkey Who Only Ate Bananas: Mike Tries New Fruits and Understands the Importance of Healthy Eating” absolutely delivers. My 4-year-old son was captivated from the very first page! The story follows Mike, a lovable monkey with a quirky habit of only eating bananas, and takes him on an eye opening journey at a farmers’ market, where he learns that each fruit has its own “superpower.” The concept of foods having unique abilities really clicked with my son, sparking his imagination and curiosity about what healthy foods could do for him.The illustrations are bright, engaging, and full of life, drawing my son deeper into the adventure with every page. He especially loved the part where Mike discovers the Brain strength of a blueberry and the energy a pineapple can provide. The vivid colors and expressive characters helped make the message of healthy eating feel fun and exciting, rather than something obligatory and boring. But what really makes this book a standout is its impact on my son. After reading about Mike’s discovery of different fruits, he was eager to try new foods himself! We’ve been struggling for years to get him to expand his diet beyond a few favorites, but now, thanks to Mike’s story, he’s willingly adding fruits like berries and apples to his meals. It’s as if Mike’s adventure made the connection between food and strength so real for him, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.I highly recommend this book for parents who want to introduce their children to the importance of a balanced diet in a fun, relatable way. It’s not just a story about food; it’s about embracing change, trying new things, and understanding how what we eat, can make us feel strong and healthy. A must read for any child and a great conversation starter at the dinner table!

For every parent who struggles with picky eaters
Cute story with fun illustrations. Good length for a bedtime story. This book would be helpful for parents trying to introduce their children to new fruits and vegetables and to encourage healthy eating. Be aware that the story centers heavily on the concept of a farmer’s market. Respectfully, if you don’t have access to a local and affordable farmer’s market you might find this isn’t the book for you.

a kids book about the joy of trying new things
A short and nicely illustrated storybook, “The Monkey Who Only Ate Bananas: Mike Tries New Fruits and Understands the Importance of Healthy Eating” shows how resourceful a little kid can be when he opens his mind and remembers the superpowers of beautiful fruits. Blueberries feed the brain, Kiwi helps you think clearly,, Pineapple is for energy and Peaches are for vision. In the end these superpowers help Mike find his mom. He now loves more fruits to eat than just bananas.

    Fun Book For Picky Eaters
The Monkey Who Only Ate Bananas is a fun book about a monkey who only wants to eat one type of food until he learns the importance of having a diverse diet. The author does a great job explaining how different foods give us different nutritional value (superpowers). The book is very well written and the illustrations are amazing. I recommend this book for younger kids who are really picky eaters.

Fun, meaningful, and insightful! Great story and illustrations
This is one the very first books we bought our little one that wasn’t gifted in the baby shower. Let me just say that we love the lessons being taught by the author and the illustrations. We also loved that there is a page to dedicate the book to our son. So, when he reads it later, he will feel special seeing his name on it. The only downside is we can’t find anymore books by the author! So, we really hope he author writes more stories as impactful as this one.

The graphics in this book are great, and they sell the storyline perfectly. The colours are bright and engaging, although I would have preferred slightly larger text on a non-white background. The book’s theme is perfect for my fussy eater daughter, since reading the book she has become much happier in trying fruits and veg. Very happy.

Très satisfaite. Bon achat.

The Monkey who only ate bananas to wspaniała książka dla najmłodszych czytelników.

This was a good book written to help kids who are fussy eaters. I think it gives good examples and is written in a way that will motivate kids to try new foods. The only negative is that this book only discusses fruits. It would have been nice to include foods from other foods groups to encourage a more balanced diet.
