SCIENCE BASED and DELIGHTFUL!
I am just starting out with these 2 combined diets and lifestyle for eating. I have lost 8 lbs. My hubby 15lbs. We are making the meals and losing the weight. Uncomplicated and easy to do. My brain fog is lifting and we are not exercising any more than we did before. Being mindful about my food choices and the book is helpful and enlightening. My favorite is the shrimp scampi with crunchy zucchini noodles and the cauliflower and blue cheese soup was so creamy and satisfying (roast the veggies in the oven to save time). The omelets are easy and packed with flavorful ingredients. I like the clean eating approach and avoiding the processed food. Ahhhh, the colorful greens and health on your plate! There is prep work, BUT, the recipes are common sense and once you make something more than once, the process is quite effortless and easy. Modify it to fit your lifestyle. Not everyone will love Roe or be able to find it. (I moved from Hawaii to Texas, so our seafood isn’t the same). Halloumi? Yummy Cheese that you can find at a large grocery store in your area. Not every recipe will appeal to all, but the book is thoughtful, creative and intentionally diverse. You will find a multitude of recipes to adore. Steak salad? YUM. They have FOCACCIA BREAD! MEATBALL BOLOGNESE! FETA GREEK SALAD! This book was released this week and I have already sent out 4 copies to my foodie friends. Exceptional! Healthful! THANK YOU NICK!!! You Rock!

Fantastic science based cookbook presented in Laymanâs terms!
Beautiful photos and great recipes! Science based information is presented in a way that is very easy to understand. Dr. Norwitzâs YouTube videos also follow the same format. He makes the science behind this easily digestible (no pun intended). I have bought more copies for friends and they love this cookbook too! I am a cookbook junkie and this one is different from all others. Great investment in your health for a small price!

Good recipes for keto with a Mediterranean twist
This cookbook does a good job of making Mediterranean recipes fit into a keto diet. I haven’t made much from the book yet, but the recipes are well written and easy to follow if you have basic cooking skills. Some of the recipes require more specialty items and would be a special occasion food–not an everyday meal item. These could get very expensive if trying to feed a family, but offer alternatives if you are tired of the standard keto items. The authors do a great job of explaining the science behind the food choices and the ratio of macros and Omega6/3 for each recipe is a bonus.

Weekend dinners for working couple
My husband and I stopped going to restaurants during covid and we missed having a once-in-a-while fancy meal. The New Mediterranean Keto Diet Cookbook gives us restaurant quality food and satisfies our need for something special. Today I made the mushroom chicken risotto and, for dessert, the golden coconut cream pops. Both were delicious as are all the recipes we’ve tried. Yes it’s expensive, yes it takes a lot of time and prep as others have written. However, the Keto-Mediterranean recipes cost less than going to a good restaurant. The dessert recipes are a surprise. I have a sweet tooth, I didn’t think the desserts were going to satisfy me. My three favorite recipes are the halva protein slices, golden coconut cream pops, and Spanish cream. I make the halva most every weekend so I can pack them in my work lunches, the coconut cream pops are perfect for days like today (106 degrees!). The Spanish cream works for us but I took it to a dinner party and one of the guests said it was too light.I only use this cookbook on the weekends when I have time to cook something special and hunt for the ingredients. My only criticism is that It usually takes two or three places to locate all the ingredients: a grocery store, a health-food store, and a cheese shop for the halloumi curry skillet. We eat a mostly plant-based diet so we welcome the health aspects of eating Keto Mediterranean.

Inventive and Fertility Friendly Recipes!
Made 3 recipes from this book so far and in love. It uses a lot of healthy fats and the recipes are really imaginative and delicious! It takes a lot of the monotony out of keto. I was recommended by a fertility doctor to do keto to increase our chances of conception and the Mediterranean combination is the best approach to increase our chances. So far so good! The only downside I found was that the recipes donât use a ton of salt and can be a bit bland. Since salt is recommended for keto to help the body absorb more water/hydrate, I have added salt in as well as either Herbes de Provences or Italian Herbes to the recipes to give them more flavor since the ones I cooked were a tad bland. There also arenât a ton of dessert recipes in this cookbook, but I donât mind since that wasnât as important to me.

A must-have cookbook for optimal health
I’ve been dancing around the edges of a ketogenic diet this past year, overwhelmed by the lingo and trying to understand the shifts I had to make. Not needing to lose weight, but interested in reducing inflammation as I age and a lover of cooking, I bought this book and, I wasn’t disappointed. I grew up on a Mediterranean diet so the concepts are not unfamiliar. The New Mediterranean Diet, however, takes healthy eating to a new level. I’m so impressed by how well thought out this book is, how much research and development went into it, and how beautiful it is. Organized with nutritional facts, key points, and fun facts (that are actually fun!), it’s more than a cookbook. I’ve learned so much through the recipes, the meals look as gorgeous as the photos and they’re scrumptious. I’ll be gifting this book to my friends for a long time to come. Congratulations to the authors on a job well done!!

Great book, I highly recommend it, especially, if like me, you are new to KETO.Informative introduction, detailing the science behind the Mediterranean Diet and KETO, the various staple super foods, foundational veggies and nutrition. Provides a good basis for cupboard and regular shopping list items.I’ve only had the book for a couple of weeks but have already tried several recipes. None have disapointed. The Harissa Liver, Chicken Tarragon, Salmon Ratatouille Skillet and Superfood Shakshuka where especially suburb; the non KETO family members couldn’t belive it was ‘diet food’.The recipes are quick, simple, easy to follow and don’t require a high degree of culinary expertise. What I especially like about the recipes is the attention given to nutrition. Too many KETO recipies seem to focus only on being low carb or as few ingredients as possible, but here, the main meal recipies follow the KETO micronutrient ratio, plus have a healthy fat profile and Omega-6/3 ratio. It really helps when trying to formulate a daily nutrionally balanced diet.Off now to cook the Moroccan Lamb Tagine!!

The only thing Mediterranean is the title of the book.

This is my first dish, Spanish Scramble, Page 47, I had to use spinach instead of chard, and I used Linda McCartney vegetarian sausages, lowest carb vegetarian sausages I can find, instead of the sausage in the recipe. If this was on a menu I would have avoided, but it tastes great, even my non vegetarian, not keen on vegetables partner enjoyed it.I have recently after 40 plus years as a vegetarian, decided to eat some omega 3 rich fish, mainly because doing Keto as a vegetarian and watching all of Thomas Delauer videos, as well as lots of other research, I realise that for many years despite being morbidly obese, mostly caused by I’ll health, medications and disabilities, but also my carb addiction, that I was not getting enough nutritional value from my food to improve my health, well over 40 years of low fat, high fibre diets have taken their toll. This book is absolutely perfect, it explains the recipes really well, there is even a QR code in the back for further reading, not recipes, but absolutely brilliant information.I found most of the ingredients easy to but from Lidl and Asda here in the UK, I’m also shopping in Aldi and of course online, I can’t afford organic, but most of the ingredients can be found and most can have cheaper versions.I would highly recommend this book to anyone new or been doing keto for a long time, especially with all the included knowledge, not just basic recipes.I do love that this book is in oz and grams, it makes it so much easier.I would love a vegetarian version of a Mediterranean keto recipe book and also for low budgets, that explained things in as much detail, and also some pointers to where to buy products in the UK and other countries, because a lot of the reviews say they don’t like this amazing book, because they can’t find the ingredients, it would also be great to have a list of substitutions for people with allergies, cost restrictions and not being able to source soke of the products.I am really looking forward to trying more of these recipes.
