Good for the big picture
I had originally taken the book to task for an error with regards the estimation of calories a breast fed baby gets from protein with the book erroneously saying it was 1% (it is in fact about 5%). But upon further reading I have come to realise that what this book excels in is the big picture. Great book
Very informative. I have learned so much from this one book about nutrution, it has lead me to many other sources of information as well. The supplements I take are a direct result of this book, and I’ve never felt better or been healthier. It has sent me looking for holistic health healers rather than using traditional medicine and many of the issues I suffered from prior to this book have been delt with or we are in the process of dealing with. Would recommend this book to anyone looking to be informed about there health, supplements, the food we eat, and how to live a happier, healthier life. I have it in both paperback and kindle version. The kindle version makes it impossible to read the charts though so you lose alot of information especially about glycemic load, so I would suggest getting the paperback as well as the kindle.

Fantastic find from a friend
I geek out on food books. Been reading about all the diets to find a convention that works for me. This book captures a lot of items I already knew (eat vegetables & fruit) but goes into detail about which foods do what. Just as any diet book, one will not agree with everything, but I found myself understanding the science & agreed with 95% of the book. I have put a lot of trust into this book because now I have began taking suggested supplements for the brain. I have many books, China Study, The Zone Diet, Primal Blueprint; but felt this book was more accurate with real science. This has became my favorite diet book to date.

Lots of useful information
I’ve found a great deal of the information in this book useful. It has some fairly detailed biological information, quizzes and suggestions and makes a point of striving for practical suggestions. I especially like the reiterations that optimum health does not mean thirty pills a day! I doubt however that I’ll be adopting a raw, vegan diet as is mentioned several times. The rest however, seems to be pretty solid information and is a good base for building a supplementation program.

Great book
It was recommended to me by a friend who used to work as a personal trainer. I found it very informative and educational. I like how the studies referenced were listed as well so one can do more research if interested.I started to improve my diet while reading this book and have already seen and felt the improvement. Sure you still need to read it with your critical thinking hat on as you read any book. It is definitely a book worth reading.

This book is absolutely fantastic. It is informative & has a lot of eye-opening facts to motivate & educate one to lead a healthier life.
