Perfect for my students
My third graders love this series of books. Several of them even keep lists so they can check them off as they read them. Theyâre highly engaging for kiddos who are fans of nonfiction. The pictures give extra info to go along with the text. Timelines in the back of the book make it easy for readers to keep track of events in the books. Perfect for avid and reluctant readers alike!

great read before trip to London
Read this to my son before a family vacation to London. We all learned about the Tower of London. There is so much history involved, it would have been not as much fun visiting the Tower of London without knowing all that history and information.

excellent and captivating!
My daughter (age 7.5) read this before our trip to London and was enthralled! She has enjoyed sharing the gory details and some of the mysteries of the Tower. I highly recommend Queen Elizabeth, Marie Antoinette, and Henry VIII as well.

“…the oldest parts of the Tower of London are almost two thousand years old.”
The Tower of London has a long, fascinating history which this quick read gives a nice exploration of.It covers who lived there, hid there, was imprisoned there, died there, and most impressively escaped from the Tower of London. The brief history of how it was built /expanded includes the fact that a portion of the old Roman London Wall was incorporated into the Tower of London. There is also an interesting section on the Crown Jewels.
