Wow what a ride!
While I read a lot, I am not usually one to pick up a poetry book, but this book of poetry is UNIQUE and relatable. It is a beautiful body of work and piece of art. It’s clever, it’s thought-provoking, it’s heartfelt, it’s reeeeeeeally good storytelling that takes you on a ride, and ahh just so many feelings!The author is a lyrical master. She has an incredible knack for capturing vulnerability, longing, joy, heartbreak, growth, and insight, all while keeping you engaged with clever turns of phrase, rhymes, and imagery. Through her words, you feel as if youâre being let in on a secret, invited into the quiet spaces of her mind and heart. The formatting of the poems makes her words dance off of the pages.5/5 recommend!
