    A Truly Amazing Book and A Proven Path for Transformation!
    Honestly, this book is game changing.I stumbled onto this book some time ago and couldn’t wait for it to come out. I ordered the day it was released. The long wait did NOT disappoint.Tracy Reifkind’s story of transformation with kettlebells and nutrition is simply amazing. This is an inspiring, insightful, and surprisingly comprehensive read from start to finish.While the theme of the book is on one of the most powerful and highly effective exercises there is (the kettlebell swing), the book covers so much more.The swing is the pillar exercise and central theme of this book, but the mindset, lifestyle, and nutritional information and education is outstanding.I loved the personal stores she shared with her own struggles and journey into kettlbells, and specifically, the foundational exercise that transformed her body and her life.Her changes have been sustainable, which is another reason the system is so effective. She’s incredibly knowledgable and passionate about her topics.As she stated in the book, it’s a proven path for transformation and it is. I know because this exercise and training method has done the same for me.Of course, my own story is different and not as dramatic as hers, yet just as powerful in every way.That’s why I say this is a proven system for results.     Inspiring story, great form pointers, and good recipes.
    I remember reading about Tracy Reifkind years ago (had no idea Tim Ferriss endorsed her) from an online friend who does kettlebells. “She’s this chick that lost over 100 pounds JUST doing swings and watching her diet.” Really? At that time I was in good shape so I didn’t think much about it. Well health problems and time moves on and I gained weight and lost mobility. I missed kettlebells. I also didn’t want to push so hard I’d get frustrated. So I started slowly and seeking inspiration, decided to download (Kindle version) and am glad I did.First I’ve been through personal training years ago with an RKC trained trainer, Lisa Shaffer (who has some great DVDs and a book too). I knew how to do The Swing, but I do appreciate Tracy’s breaking it down. She is VERY thorough in my opinion and experience with making sure you REALLY GET this movement, because in all honesty it’s all you NEED to get in decent shape and a good cardio base. I do understand people get bored and frustrated, but read any of Tracy’s blogs, she doesn’t “just” swing and her husband also offers lots of insight.Second there are a lot of workouts in the book, but like I said Tracy offers TONS online and for FREE. If you are using the right amount of weight and good form, you really can’t be bored because you’re too busy giving it your all.Third, I do understand some people will disagree with her way of eating. She even says so, she is just stating what worked and works for her. Take it or leave it. The recipes I’ve tried are great. I don’t do intermittent fasting, but again that’s up to you. She also does recipes on her blog as well.I think this is a great paper introduction to those not familar with kettlebell training. There is something to be said for keeping it simple because it is effective. The analysis paralysis won’t happen here if you are seeking to get healthier, her plan is simple and effective PERIOD.

    I am generally happy with the book and have fallen in love with …
    As someone whose schedule occasionally prevents regular gym attendance, I was really interested in learning how to do a kettlebell workout at home. I’m also an older woman, so the fact that this book was written by a woman in her 40s made me think her approach would be aligned with my situation. So far, I am generally happy with the book and have fallen in love with kettlebell workouts. She’s right when she says you get solid results from them.I know some people have commented that they wanted more variety in the book, but I actually think one of the strengths of her approach is that she focuses on the basic moves – and that’s essential.I very much disliked the section on nutrition in the book – I very nearly gave the book only three stars because of it. I don’t want to get into a debate here about diet and nutrition, so I’ll just say that my personal recommendation would be to completely ignore the nutrition section and focus on the author’s strongest area of expertise – kettlebells. There are plenty of great sources for learning to make healthy eating choices out there, and it’s a shame that many pages of this book were, in my opinion, wasted on a pretty generic and not very helpful nutrition section.That negativity aside, I’d still recommend this book as a good way to learn about a workout that you can do at home, that requires little investment in terms of equipment, and that is extremely effective.

    Avendo visto quella che mi pare l’unica recensione dall’Italia, di 1 stella, ho pensato di scrivere la mia.Ho il libro di carta, non so se ci sono delle differenze, ma l’ho trovato finora molto utile.In particolare le schede di allenamento mi sembrano molto chiare ed efficaci.Poi uno se vuole può guardarsi i video dell’autrice su YouTube.

    I first found quotes in “Four Hour Body” book by Tim Ferris, then in a book(s) by Pavel Tsatsouline, so how I bought it. I am male (not female LOL) and the story in this book is very inspirational, and we are very close by age; I’ve read the book. Kindle edition. I do kettlebell swings twice a week now, 5 sets of 15, after 30 minutes of perfect warm-up including 20-minutes jogging and 20 minutes kettlebell-based warm-up. Frankly, it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes total; do not trust Tim ferris 🙂 you need super perfect warm-up before trying 5×15 swings, and 5×15 is much better than 1×75!!!I bought this book (printed) for my sister who looks like author photo on first pages :)Thanks for reading!
