A treasure trove of wonder and knowledge
This book absolutely slays me. Popova’s writing is rich with deep intelligence and wonder… a dazzling star of beaming wisdom and hope for our understanding of our world and appreciation for the great minds that discover its mysteries. Each chapter reveals more and more as I reread them, as do the mesmerizing accompanying illustrations. I love this book so much, I want to buy a copy for everyone!

Beautiful little book
Beautiful little book, both in terms of the goregous, creative illustraions and the cinent. Nice varietal content and interwining of the essays with the poetry. Educational. But I hate to admit I was somewhat emwehat disaappointed at the content, at least for me, as I found mst of the historical/biographical essays about various scientists and the like pretty boring. The science seemed to take over too much from the poetry/phiolsophy I was looking for and prefer.

Seriously thoughtful, seriously uplifting.
From the Mother of the Marginalia, this handy volume of considerations of life and the universe never fails to cause some serious thinking. Beautifully made, with beautiful illustrations, beautiful poems, and beautiful writing. The perfect book to keep close at hand when you need a little perspective on the universe and your place in it. I keep it on my nightstand just so I can give it a few minutes every night. The perfect book to bestow upon your thoughtful friends, and yourself.

Astounding merging of science and spirit.
This is a breathtakingly beautiful book! Kudos given to the pioneering women who made a difference in the exploration and our understanding of the cosmos and to the sublime poetry of another realm of understanding that walk hand-in-hand. The essays, poetry and artwork are a gorgeous collaboration of mutual love of our universe.

A Beautiful Book!
I’m in love with this book. I take it everywhere I go. Had a doctor’s appointment yesterday, when my doctor came in the room and saw me reading it, she was curious about it based on the title and beautiful cover, and I ended up reading the first page to her…she snapped a picture of it and said she would order it. I’m going to buy more copies and hand them out for Christmas Stocking Stuffers.
