Great book for daily readings to overcome grieving
I wish I had copied my comments from another purchase so I could paste them here. This book has been comforting to me and the person I gave one to for the painful journey we are going through after losing family members. The writer talks to my heart, my hurts, suggesting insights for me personally. Each day’s reading can be meaningful no matter how long we have been trying to deal with a death.

Surprisingly Helpful
I’m not one to have much use for or confidence in daily meditations, but I’ve been reading this text for a month now and am finding it to be very helpful. I don’t read it at the same time each day – some days it’s first thing in the morning; other days not until late at night. However, there’s something comforting about having this “routine” during such a time of turmoil, and I’ve been amazed a number of times about how that day’s meditation lines up exactly with my mood for the day. I do agree with another reviewer that the text could stand to be shifted away from the spine to make it easier to read the text along the center of the book, but that’s so minor. The size of the book is perfect to toss in my purse or leave out on the bed, and I’m pleased with it’s quality. I highly recommend it! (For reference, I’ve had three losses within two years – my father in 6/22 and two friends in 8/23 and 11/23)

When you have a friend suffering from intense grief
But this book for them. Lots of readings daily common thread, love never ends but you will heal to the point of returning to the living world. Stresses things will get better with time. Someone gave to me and I bought “several copies to give to my church. For others who have needs. This book was instrumental in my healing in the early days when it is so hard and later after the hoopla of the funeral and you’re alone still struggling.

Great Book with a lot of truths in it.. but it was standard size
Great Book with a lot of truths in it.. but it was standard size. I know it was written in part of the product description but really, who looks at those. IMHO other than standard size should be written in the main header (description) None the less I am enjoying it and this time in my life anything positive or thought provoking is welcomed.

Very comforting after a loss
A friend of mine sent me a copy after my wife passed away and I found very helpful in coping with my loss. I purchased 4 to give to others. So I was able to give 2 to those who experienced the loss of a loved one.

The best book ever for anyone grieving a loved one
A friend sent me a copy of this many years ago after I lost my daughter to a brain tumor. I still read it and it has a permanent location on my nightstand. I keep several copies in my home at all times and gift them to others when they experience a significant loss. I have probably purchased 40 copies over the years. The book does not give advice or preach. Rather, it has a page for each day of the year and provides a reflection and acknowledgement of feelings when missing a loved one. One page per day. In the early days of grief, that was all I could handle. This book reminds you that your feelings are your own and that you can get through the pain one day at a time.

I bought this book when my mom died. These are daily meditations to help you remember and embrace grief. I have actually given this gift in lieu of flowers to a family member as well.

This is a classic book, that provides some solace and words express the loss over 365 days, and we can repeat as the healing is unending…but the printer, William Morrow (an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers) shows no appreciation of reading a book – for every page one has to prise the book at the binder to read the words at the inner edges (do see the image). The printer has reduced a 5-Star content-book to a 2-star reading experience – a disgrace to the dignity of reading!!!
