We all need
This compact survival guide is impressively packed with practical information, all crammed into a small, slim piece of gear. While much of it is based on common sense, itâs reassuring to have these reminders available, particularly in high-stress situations where common sense can be harder to recall. The first aid guides inside cover a wide variety of scenarios and offer treatment advice for nearly every situation you might face. As expected, the guide is tiny, with text printed in very small font to fit all the content. Luckily, it comes with a small magnifying glass to make reading easier. While not the highest quality, the magnifier works well enough to clearly read and understand the instructions. This survival guide is an excellent tool for providing peace of mind, reducing stress during uncertain times, and even helping to resolve unnecessary disputes. Itâs a useful and comforting item to keep on hand.

Handy Dandy Little Emergency Guide
I bought this guide because I thought it would be good to have “just in case.” I’m not such a camper anymore but I still go on hikes. I liked looking through it and reading all of the advice/suggestions. Some of it is guidance like “you can last for three days without water” and that is good to brush up on. Other parts describe how to light fires or identify plants. Be forewarned that some items say “practice in advance”. Haha! Anyway, I enjoy the guide and am glad I have it.It should come on waterproof paper.

Takes away my worry that I wonât know what to do in a survival situation
There have been way too many natural disasters lately for my comfort level. Iâve been stranded by floods and had to evacuate from hurricanes and dodge tangled messes of trees and debris and lost all the food in my fridge/freezer all in the last month! So survival has been on my mind in a more real, raw, and intense way than ever before. Iâm trying to be prepared as best I can, but honestly, if I had to bug out and go live in the woods just to survive, my skills and know-how would be seriously put to the test.Thatâs why I got this fabulous little survival guide thatâs literally no bigger than a credit card, but contains some of the most important information I could possibly have to save my life! It opens up into one big sheet, printed on both sides, and accordion-folded like a map. It has complete and detailed sections on building a shelter, making a fire, finding and purifying water, foraging, hunting, or fishing for food, tying knots, navigation, self-defense, and even first aid. This is literally a little gold mine in my hand! Now because it is so much information, and is so little, the writing is ridiculously tiny. Luckily, they also provided a magnifying lens to see it! Which of course can double as a fire-making implement with the right angle of the sun! I honestly wish they taught all this stuff in school â itâs wisdom everyone should have. But since they donât, just get this little survival guide and study it yourself!

Very useful, but needs to be waterproof
Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon’s Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. I love the size of this guide. It is easy to keep in you pocket so it stays on your body at all times when you are in the wilderness. I am keeping it in my EDC bag because even though I am live in the city, there are still times when things like first aid, knots, abduction, self defense could come in handy. It weights next to nothing. The color illustrations and color coding of the different sections are helpful. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is this paper is not water proof paper. It needs to be made out of the same paper as Rite-in-the-Rain notebooks which can be submerged under water and then still written on. If they came out with a second edition that was waterproof, I would buy it again, even it it were a dollar or two more expensive. Also, if they had a second edition, it would be ideal if along the edge it had a scale/ruler so if you have a map with you, you can measure distance, or if you are tying knots at regular intervals, etc. A ruler is always handy. It is a great little guide though and I am glad to have it. The batteries on this will never die!

Must have
If you’re getting into survival/ prepping then this is one of the cheapest things to get you started. I really like that it is true to it’s pocket size claim. I do wish the whole thing was water proof/laminated like the front and back cover to protect it if it ever got wet buy I can’t mark points off because you know what you’re ordering. I have good eye vision and while it’s not 20/20 I can easily read the print. For those with vision problems, there is a handy “magnifying” card to help. I’d definitely recommend this to someone who’s getting started or just wants to use as a guide to venture outdoors.

Paper so not durable at all
Lots of information is included but it’s made of flimsy paper, so it isn’t dependable to have in an emergency situation. And then it’s very expensive for the quality of what you receive.
