Your thumb does hit it while using it bumping up the temp. I just check it periodically. It is easy to readjust.I am happy enough with the product that I don’t plan to return it.

Beautiful colour & over all good straightener.Cons- Does pull hair quite a bit (I have thing hair so definitely not recommend for thick hair)-it has a weird setting to turn it on (you have to hold it)-they put the button right where your hand/fingers would be holding the straightener
