Great little added security kit for home and travel
This little kit is an excellent home or travel bit of added security. I use it daily! Got one kit that I keep on my back door on the front door. I have it near the door and use it if I take a nap during the day or if Iâm sleeping at night or in the shower as I live out in a rather rural area where itâs hard to get law-enforcement to come out in a timely manner if thereâs an issue so it buys you time to provide for your own safety and defense. Also got a spare kit from when Iâm traveling. Had to recently go to a funeral out of state stayed at a KOA campsite and was going to use it there unfortunately the cabin I rented there was too wide of a gap between the door jam set up, and it would not provide adequate surface for this to lock in and wouldâve allowed the door to just be opened anyway, so I wasnât able to use it there, but it works great in hotels and anywhere else with your standard door jam. Love that the battery operated doorstop alarm is decently loud and you can adjust the sensitivity so if you have a door that rattles a little bit because you live in a windy area you can set it to where it wonât set it off so easily, but if someone where to force their way through itâs definitely going off. Definitely recommend it for those people with safety concerns are just want to buy themselves a little added time to react should someone have bad intentions and attempt to gain entry where theyâre staying?

This product is easy to use and set up in your hotel room. Just follow the directions and reference the picture and youâll be good. These devices make me feel safer while traveling, especially when itâs just me and my kids. Iâve used them a handful of times and they still look new and work great. The door stop is a great potable unauthorized-entry-alarm for travelers. As a retired airline pilot, I wish that I’d had one while working. The alarm is not only loud and a warning, it is a deterrent. The door stop is good block to the door buying you time in case of an unauthorized entry. It’s also an excellent way to keep out those pesky housekeepers who ignore the “Do not Disturb” sign on your door latch.

Doesnât work
I purchased this dual security item and tested the door lock before going on my trip. It didnât work well, but I thought it may work better on the hotel doors. Wrong. It just does not secure the door. However, the doorstop alarm â â excellent! I used it and felt more secure in my hotel room. Because it was purchased as a set, and I want the door alarm, Iâm keeping both.

The door piece worked great and was very easy to figure out and use at the hotel I stayed at. The door stopper did not fit under the hotel door and just slid when the door was opened, so I was not able to use it for that. The floor was vinyl though, so maybe a different type of flooring it would have worked for. I will say however, the alarm is extremely loud and the item was easy to use. I kept it next to my bed and on felt more secure. I would definitely recommend especially for women traveling alone or for out of the country trips you are feeling a little uneasy about.

Exactly as described. Take on all our trips now. I did not realize how much comfort this would bring me – staying in hotels/cruises/etc you never know when you might be put in an adjoining room. We use one for door to the hallway and the other on the adjoining room if we have one. Easy to install.I have no idea how they work because thankfully weâve never had any issues.

I recently bought this for a trip but could not use it. Not sure if it was the nature of the door or the product. Both product seemed limited. The door stopper could not be inserted under the door becuase there wasn’t enough space so you may but this but not use based on the nature of the door. The Actual door lock also, I was unable to set it up. Came back from my trip, tried it on my door at hoe, didn’t suceed. Will try one more time and if necessary, update my review
