High Quality & It Works for Me
I purchased this brand because of a recommendation from my son who’s used one for years. I’ve been using it for lower back pain caused by very tight muscles (NOT for injuries due to a slipped or deteriorating disk, etc). It’s already helping significantly. A few tips:
1. While this specific item is the softest, it’s not pool-noodle soft. In fact, it’s quite stiff and even somewhat hard. The firmer/harder models are built around a hard plastic tube and are very hard. If you’re new to this, I suggest the level of firmness this one has.
2. They come in different lengths. The shortest, which I bought, is perfectly adequate and would be easy to travel with. But it is also easier to roll off of than a longer one would be.
3. The paper band wrapped around it has some basic exercises, but were hard to read for my old eyes. I took some photos of them and printed them out in a larger size.
Overall it’s very well made and perfect for my needs.

Seems to be well-designed and of good quality; firm without being way too hard like some others
I only received this foam roller one week ago, so I cannot offer an evaluation of its sturdiness and durability over time. In addition, I have very limited experience with foam rollers, so I do not suggest that my opinion is informed by expertise. I ordered this foam roller after ordering one from a different manufacturer that turned out to be a solid pillar of hard Styrofoam that was so firm and unyielding that it was too uncomfortable to use; I sent that one back within less than 24 hours. This one seems well-designed and of good quality, and is certainly far more comfortable to use: I can lay down with all of my weight on it under my back or thighs, and it has just enough “give” to remain firm but not painful. So far, I’m very pleased with it, and it got a thumbs-up from the personal trainer who supervises my wife and me when we work out. I docked one star only because I don’t have a sufficient wealth of knowledge to make the bold statement that it deserves 5 stars in comparison with all foam rollers. It’s holding up well so far.

Where has this been all my life?
In my quest to fix my back troubles, I ran across a video about foam rollers so of course, I immediately searched Amazon and discovered a plethora of options! Not knowing what I was really doing, I chose a giant neon green wheel the first time, based on the hilarious positive reviews it received. I have no idea what they loved about that torturous piece of equipment, but I sent it back the next day. Next, I tried a black one. Remember, I didn’t really know what I was doing so I chose a color I wouldn’t mind laying around my living room. I could’ve just as well bought a piece of pvc pipe because that sucker was HARD. Little did I know that they were color coded and that’s how it was supposed to be. Back it went too. I mentioned this to my physical therapist who then showed me some options and one of them was this one. Feeling a little like Goldilocks at this point, I really hoped it would be the one and it sure is!
The grey foam is a nice texture that is not too hard, not too soft…just right for a beginner foam roller. You can start off rolling with a side that has bigger grid pattern that is less aggressive and then work your way up to the side that has the smaller grid. The smaller grid is awesome! You can really get the kinks worked out with that side! I loved it so much, I asked the physical therapist for more ideas on how to use it and I am now doing calves, thighs, butt, shoulders, and I end with my back after twisting around to do all the rest. It is like having a full body massage without leaving your living room!
I highly recommend the TriggerPoint Core foam roller! I’d have to say it’s possibly the best $30-some bucks I’ve spent on myself!

Great roller
I went to a sporting goods store to see which rollers Iâd like. Then ordered this one which they didnât have the size i wanted but I was able to touch it. I like the feel of it and the variety of surfaces for different needs. Itâs the perfect length as well although itâs not long enough to lay on for the center of your back so I do miss being able to do that but didnât want two rollers And that is the only exercise you canât do with this size.

Not comfortable to use
I thought this smaller roller would be good for storing but it doesn’t do the job like the bigger white ones at the gym. Maybe too hard and too short.

Un buen roll que no se deforma. Tiene buen soporte pero no es extremadamente rÃgido. De buen tamaño para masajear ambas piernas, o para soportar el torso. Si hay zonas particularmente adoloridas, éste es el rodillo.
