    I have been a fan of Christine for a few years after researching her as a local fitness expert for client opps, and then found her again while looking for tips for endomorphs. After watching many of her videos and now reading her book I have never felt more understood, and armed with a smart path forward for me to get back to feeling really good.The quizzes in the book help unlock your carb intolerance and macro type, and provides detailed meal plans, exercise recos and more to help you activate. While some of the recipes are more involved than I usually do as a plain eater, they are all doable and delicious. She is also very realistic and sets out to manage your expectations in terms of time it will take to achieve goals. This was very important to me as it’s discouraging to see influencers on social media make things look very easy and quick. All this is to say she seems very trustworthy on top of being credible – and if you are someone who struggles with fat loss, you need to purchase and read this book!

    I just received the book yesterday when it came out (3/8/22), and I’m already on Chapter 3. I’ve been following Christine’s platform for almost 2 years and she is the REAL DEAL. This book is the answer to everyone’s stress and frustration surrounding fat loss and health and wellness. The information is concise, well-written, and INVALUABLE. Christine has taken the time and consideration for each and every person to be able to conquer and feel comfortable surrounding the way that they approach health and fitness regardless of their background. This book is not only bound to be a New York Times Bestseller, but it is going to change and save the lives of all who read it! I can’t wait to apply this newfound knowledge to my own life, as I trust Christine and her expertise in this area, but I am officially set up for success. I have already told friends how they NEED this book in their lives. I’m telling you, this will be the only book that you’ll ever need in terms of weight management/fat loss. No crap, straight to the point, and goes against “fad diets” that have been pushed by the health and fitness industry for the last few decades.     This book was so helpful! It made it so easy to know exactly what I need, what I should expect, and how long it may take!It also gave me all the tools to calculate what my caloric intake should be daily, how I should break that up, and how I should exercise for my specific body type.Now I can take that guide and easily fit the correct foods in that keep me satisfied and non craving and entry enough to exercise!This was the exact “guide” I needed for myself. Highly recommend!

    Insightful Book
    This book have been very helpful for me when it comes down to the type of foods that I eat for energy and weight loss. Last year I noticed my energy level would get so low after eating certain food. I brought this concern to my Doctor and they kind of brushed me off. After reading this book I learned that I needed to eat low carbs and high protein. Now I can eat high protein/low carb food without feeling fatigued/tired.I highly recommend this book if you are struggling with weight loss, gaining muscles, or putting on healthy fats. Unlocking your Macro type will help you understand how food works with you and not against you. I love that Christine Hornets includes meal plan if you struggle with putting together daily meals.

    The missing piece to a long puzzle
    I found gaugegirl training (Christine’s YouTube Channel) two years ago and was immediately impressed by the amount of knowledge and years of experience she has as a food scientist and biochemical engineer. Her videos are well thought out, educational and informative and I was excited to purchase her book, especially after my own research and seeing how horribly outdated a lot of the nutritional government advice is. I have seen amazing results with dialing in my macros and I think the large amounts of people she has helped speaks for itself. I am recommending this also to my training clients as it is easy for anyone to read, whether you are a beginner or advanced and the quizzes and sample meal plan and recipes are also very helpful. It’s not just about weight loss. It’s about fat loss, hormone reset, and overall general health. And just because someone is on social media doesnt mean they are uneducated. I am very grateful to have found Christine and her work.

    Highly recommend this book!
    I absolutely love this book. It is so informative and thorough. Christine goes into the science of how your body processes food and the importance of macros in your weight loss/health journey. She shares two quizzes and walks you step-by-step through the math formulas needed to determine your macro type, as well at your daily caloric intake and the corresponding amounts of grams needed per macronutrient (protein, fat and carbs). Knowing your macro type is key! This book is a must read. It’s definitely a book I will refer to again and again. You will not be disappointed with this book!Thank you, Christine, for writing this book and for all of the valuable information you share on Gauge Girl Training! You are the real deal!

    Very good book
    I know macros but not as scientific as the author! I cannot be upset but envy how smart the person who wrote it is. I cannot stop reading it and it is such a good book I just even get it on audible bc I cannot stop myself from being busy at work or at home so while I do things I will be reading this amazing book

    This is a long one but the book was so good I couldn’t leave anything out…I first came across Christine on Instagram a few weeks before January 2023, and then started watching her youtube videos which I found very honest and liked the fact that she was talking about changing mindsets on what a healthy body looks like. What she was saying made so much sense to me and when I saw her announce that she had written a book, I knew I had to read it.I have been diligent with my food and fitness all my life, and now in my late 40s I realized there was more of a science to how I structure my eating and activity to feel my best and achieve my fitness goals as I had hit a plateau with both. I have always known my body type and knew that when I followed a plan that was focused on what was best for my body type I would see results, I needed guidance and felt that reading this book and following Christine would give me the answers I was looking for without having to be an expert on it all myself.One of the things I really appreciated hearing from Christine was that although many different options for fitness and food were out there to chose from, not every single body type is going to respond the same way, and this honesty was exactly what I wanted to hear as I knew that my specific body type (endomorph) did not respond well to what a lot of people are always touting, that we should “quit the cardio and focus solely on weights”. While both are important, I knew for myself after having worked out for many years that cardio was very necessary for me personally to maintain my physic – and I also really enjoyed it. I love lifting weights as well so I wanted to understand the best balance of that, and what food worked best for me. Short of going to see a personal trainer and dietician, I wasn’t able to find the answers on line, or by watching random people in the fitness community. I ordered the book, received it the next day (a beautiful hard back copy), and read it all by bed time.Christine does a great job of laying out all of the information clearly and consistently so that it’s easy to understand and digest. I loved how she gives real examples of people who have worked with her and the success that they have had – as someone with the same body type as I had. She makes figuring out your macros easy and shares great information on specifics about what % of Protein, Fat and Carbs that are best for each body type, then breaks down the next few chapters of food and exercise to the specific body type category and even gives examples of recipes/groceries, and best exercises to focus on. She left nothing unmentioned so that when I finished the book I knew how to move forward for success. Although I’m personally not counting macros as I didn’t want to lose weight (just maintain, which I find can be a challenge) I have been applying the fat, protein and carb % to my daily food intake since reading the book three weeks ago, and have noticed a visible difference in my physic and toned up, which was a nice surprise. As a bonus, if I do feel the need to adjust my food, I can easily apply the macros to my meals because I have them from a quick survey specific to me that I used in the book, and macro formula Christine walks you through. I have also adjusted my fitness to reflect what she suggested would work best for my body type. In addition, I was always under the impression that my body type didn’t respond well to carbs and it turns out I was wrong.It’s so nice to have the information given to you properly so that food isn’t the “enemy”. It really has helped me change my mindset on fueling my body. I would highly recommend Christine’s book, and am so glad I read it. I have also shared it with a number of friends who found that the information was very helpful.

    This is the best book out there that you will ever find. I worked with Christine 1:1 as my coach and she saved my life as an entrepreneur who had gained 30lbs during the pandemic, went into depression and struggled with hormonal imbalance. At 39 I felt hopeless and old. All those myths around settling and getting old went out of the window. Within 2 weeks I lost 5lbs I was struggling to lose for months. And within 6 months I lost 30lbs. I became more productive, I was able to generate more $$ in my business. Christine figured out the right macros my body needed just through a quick conversation and by taking her macro quiz. Get this book. You won’t regret it and if you have the opportunity work with Christine through her group coaching program or 1:1 program. She’s an incredible human being.
