Good lesson on inclusion
This story does a good job recognizing the need for kids to understand including those different than you. It uses animals to get the point across. I would recommend this for parents or teachers looking to teach their children lessons on not excluding others because they are different.

Good conversation starter with kids about diversity
This is a good conversation starter with kids about diversity and how we often don’t think about others around us. The cheetahs learn about other animals with different interests and needs. They learn how to show respect for differences and make other animals feel part of their school.

Cute book about inclusion
This is a cute book about inclusion. Since this is a difficult topic to cover, I give the author a lot of credit for writing this book. One thing I didn’t care for is it seemed one group (the cheetahs) were made to be responsible for the lack of integration in the school. I think it would be better if the adults were made to promote integration with all of the students. Just and observation.

Important Book about Diversity and Creativty
We Will Join You is an early approach to teaching tolerance and acceptance of others. The book has parent and child working together on creating a story that discusses diversity. It is a careful approach to an important topic. The child draws pictures and writes a story about a cat, Marbles, who deals with differences. Beyond story writing the parent travels outside with the child to observe nature and participates in fun activities with the child. At the end memories are recorded about the mutual experiences. Finally, a blueprint is developed by the parent for future learning and adventure. This is great way to teach a child a life lesson.

This is a brilliant childrenâs story that can improve understanding, enlightenment and empathy.
This lovely childrenâs book is beautifully illustrated, well thought out and well written. Itâs clever, smart, clear and understandable. Itâs original, itâs kind and itâs subtle in its simplicity. Most importantly, itâs impactful. There are very few childrenâs books that help increase tolerance and understanding. There are very few childrenâs books that help teach us to appreciate diversity and to recognize the importance and benefits of inclusion. This is a lovely book that can open young eyes and young minds to the beauty and importance of sharing the world with everyone and to the mutually beneficial affects of kindness and compassion.

A Creative Book that Explains Diversity to Kids
I love how Jaime Branagh EdD uses different animals to symbolize all our many human differences, no matter what they may be. As the result, any child can read this book and relate, no matter how they may feel different from other kids at school. The animal characters are so cute, all with their own unique personalities and talents. The artwork is so colorful and the book is the perfect length for young children. Enjoy and learn!

I enjoyed reading this book to my kids
It’s an introduction to the reality the kids start facing at a young age everywhere, at school or in the neighborhood, making the kids very interested in “why some others act like that” and teaches that no matter that they are all different and with different skills, they still can enjoy being friends
