Weleda Men’s After Shave Lotion, 3.4 oz

Excellent aftershave balm
The Weleda after shave balm is an excellent finish for shaving. The amount of aftershave balms on the market is dizzying. I spent time researching them and selected the Weleda balm based on numerous positive reviews.I switched to wet shaving four or so months ago and found my skin is quite dry after shaving. I used Neutrogena body emulsion previously, which is great for the body, but I find it leaves an unpleasing smell on my face along with the smell of the shaving soap I use. The Weleda balm is a perfect match with the shaving soap and provides excellent hydration for my skin following a shave.After shaving, I use cold water and a washcloth to rinse my face and neck off, being careful not to rub, but only dab water on the skin. The cold water closes the pores. I then wring out the washcloth and dab my face, leaving a thin layer of water on my skin, then apply a dime-sized amount of the Weleda balm and spread it all over my face, under my chin, and on my neck. A little bit spreads nicely on a wet face. The Weleda balm has alcohol in it, but I don’t find it irritates my face or dries my skin at all. It leaves my skin soft and smooth, feeling healthy, and the smell is wonderful! I love it.I’m very pleased with this balm, and I recommend it to others. It’s worth the price and lasts quite a while.UPDATE 2/12/15: I purchased this in January of 2014. It’s now mid-February 2015 and I’m almost finished with the bottle. I shave every two days, and this bottle lasted over a year.

Quite good!
I ran out of C.O. Bigelow Black Elixir No. 1701 aftershave balm, which was my preferred aftershave. When it was time to refill I discovered No. 1701 is no longer made. After doing a bit of research I decided to give Weleda a shot. What really decided me on Weleda is that they know where all the ingredients come from because they grow the bulk of them themselves, and source the others through fair trade. I’m glad I went with Weleda because this aftershave balm is the best I’ve ever used. It’s not heavy, like some balms, and has a very bright, fresh scent. It is incredibly refreshing on the skin and I have had absolutely no irritation since using it. And a major bonus for me–since I really can’t stand plastic containers–is that it comes in a nice glass bottle.I suggest you try it. This is the aftershave balm you’ve been looking for.

Very Pleasing fragrance
My husband has been more than happy with his standard aftershave balm, but I ran across this item and thought I would order something new for him to try. Even though he rolled his eyes saying there was no need, he was already totally satisfied with his choice of product, within a couple of weeks he was commenting on how much smoother his face felt and how well he liked the fragrance. SO, we now have a “NEW” standard item in our household. He didn’t realize he could be any happier than he was, but sometimes, you just gotta try new things! Great item and I like their toothpaste as well.

Superior product
This is a very high quality product. It contains a little alcohol so you get a tiny bit of “burn” but not as much as splash. I use it instead of a splash and it is fantastically soothing and moisturizing. It also smells great. A tiny bit goes a long way so it lasts months. I highly recommend it.
