    Simple And Useful
This tool appears well made. I believe the weld goes all the way through the eye, inside ground n buffed to a finished look. It’s stronger. Others have the bit welded just to eye outside handle and seem pitted. Weak. Stick into handle works well, bit cuts, I punch a starter hole and it’s easy. Use w care. The one I received the bit has a few tiny chips out along cutting edge, no big deal (can be sharpened). Used w care (gloves or something covering the bit when holding) the peg maker works, go easy w confidence. One can go w make ur own pegs no problem. This is a fun shop/camp tool, left to ur imagination and skill – no telling – what one can make ! Leather case nicely made. This tool is more expensive than others however well worth the extra $In closing V Goo !!!

    Well fabricated
Product is well fabricated, so is the leather jacket. Will be a Christmas gift for my husband. Quality items and fairly priced. Custom service is good as well. They sent a PDF with instructions on how to use the tool. Would buy again.

    Works decent
I tried the auger, which is sharp on different types of wood and it cuts through everything easy, makes nice holes. The peg maker is harder to use, tried on oak and maple which didn’t work out. Those pegs were very hard to remove from the tool. Tried on soft wood, and it worked better. Getting the pegs out of the tool is the hardest part. The tool and pouch a nice quality, but might be easier to make pegs with an axe/knife if you need a harder wood peg

    Quality above the rest
I received this for Father’s Day and I was astounded by the quality and presentation of this amazing tool. For starters it came in a sturdy nicely designed box. After opening the box I saw a heavy stitched leather sheath designed to hold up to regular wear and use. The tool itself is stainless steel and was created to hold up to what it was designed for being hammered on repeatedly and sharpened to be drilled with the same. I’m beyond happy with this ingenious tool and hope to have it for years to come. Sure there are other tools similar to this that offer extra little tools with it but that’s because they are less durable and the quality is subpar.

    Very handy!
Super sharp! I started this lovely little tool by hand into some green mulberry. It cut so well I probably could have bore the hole without a helper stick, but I wanted to try it all the way out. The hole came clean on the first go.Smacking it on the end of a branch to create the tenon worked as I expected. Took a little effort but I don’t find it to be out of line. I can’t say I would purposely ever smack it on the auger, just on the top. I saw other reviews that said it broke at the weld. The weld on mine is a good one. Correct penatration was achieved and it should last a very long time.Fitment of the tenon into the mortise was perfect. I was prepared to score the tenon to accept a wedge but found it wasn’t needed in this situation. If I had to complain about anything it would be the length. I could see some greater projects requiring a deeper hole/tenon, however that may be extreme. Sheath is a bit cheesy but functional.Overall great purchase! Would love to see a 1/2″ model!

Very useful but has some flaws
The drill is very good but it’s important to note it goes great against the grain, the snail is a little slow to get started and it can change the direction of the holes a bit so you may have to re-drill some spots the top part also isn’t that good at sinking into branches with the grain and making them into pegs for joinery but with enough effort it’s possible overall good purchase and the case is really nice it’s very portable too, after a bit of drilling and using a wooden board to hammer it the drill does have some dents on the sharp edges but it’s still very usable

I haven’t had a chance to trial this product but it looks to be of great quality both the tool and the pouch.

The ability to make such a strong joint has endless possibilities.Super solid quality ‘last forever’ construction. It’s rare I add a piece of kit to my classic bushcraft bag but this is now in the top 5 items.
