Great tent. Huge and works in freezing temps
I purchased this tent in January and we set it up the beginning of February right before a storm. We heard there was a big storm moving in here in Utah so we set up the tent to see how it would do. It was easy for me and my son to set up. Because it was the first time it took longer to set up then it will next time. Still only took about :40 min. I think now we know how everything goes together we could do it in :20 min.
Well, the storm came in, the wind blew hard and the snow flew. The tent was solid. We slept out there for several nights with low temperatures about 12 degrees. We set up a wood burning stove and we had a big buddy heater. With both it stayed warm but when the fire died out in the middle of the night the big buddy heater wasnât enough to keep it toasty but we had good sleeping bags and I would say it didnât get colder than 40 degrees in the tent.
By the way this tent is huge!!!! We got the 6 meter and it is sooooo big. It will be nice when we have the whole family in there but you will definitely need a big area to set it up. With the diameter of the tent plus the guy wires you will need to plan for 25-30 feet to set it up.
I got this tent for the occasional time when our kodiak 10âx14â tent isnât big enough and this tent delivers for size. Quality is excellent also!! I would recommend this tent but just make sure you need a huge tent if you decide to get the 6 Meter.

AAA+++
this is a great tent! so much better thsn the vevor tent could have ever dreamed to be. if you want quality, spaciousness AND dependability…… this is your tent! if you have 4 people in your group… dont go any smaller than a 5m… a mr.buddy heater will keep things warm in the colder camping nights…. and a swamp cooler helps keep this cool when its hot out. be sure to “season” your tent to prevent leaks. and dont forget your details in set up… it makes a world difference in longevity and a safe camping experience. Many thanks to you WhiteDuck!

A great tent at a great price.
This is our first Canvas Tent. We had been looking at Wall tents, but we really liked all the windows of the Avalon Bell Tent. We live in a warm client, so the windows are a must. We couldn’t be happier with the tent.
Setup could not be easier. I had watched several YouTube videos before purchasing the tent. In all the videos, the reviewer assembled the tent first, then added the ground sheet. Our tent came with the ground sheet already zippered to the tent, so we went ahead and assembled the tent with the ground sheet attached. I don’t think it took 2 of us 30 minutes to assemble the tent the first time. In none of the videos I watched, did they ever mention staking down the ground sheet, so this step surprised me. These stakes are important to keep the ground sheet from bunching up.
One very important step I learned was making sure the main pole is center in the top of the tent. If it is off just a little bit, the walls won’t be even and the tent will look weird. We spent a lot of time making sure the main pole was centered and plumb. After that, the rest is easy.
The canvas is thick and heavy. After we put up the tent, we sprayed it down with water for a couple minutes and let it dry. No water came in during this wet down. We had a serious downpour not long after we assembled the tent and everything inside stayed nice and dry. No water leaked in through the tent walls or through the ground sheet.
The 4 meter tent has plenty of room for a few twin size beds or a combo of twins, full and queen size beds. My son and I slept in the tent. He slept on a twin bed and I slept on a full size bed. He was on one side of the main pole and I was on the other side. We could have had 1 more twin size bed in the tent. With just the two beds, we had plenty of room for our gear. With the full and twin bed, there was plenty of room between the beds to still get around the tent. Two full size beds would work too, but not as much of a path between the two beds. I’m pretty sure with two queen size beds, there’d be very little, if any, room to walk around the tent without crossing over a bed, but there would still be room for gear.
With just one side of the tent used for bed(s), there is still plenty of room for a table and chairs, a desk or other furniture. If you need a camp stove, it will reduce the space for added beds/furniture. We went with the 4 meter because we needed the tent right away. We wanted the 5 meter tent, but couldn’t wait the month or so for it to be delivered. We are happy with the 4 meter, but the extra room of the 5 meter would be really nice.
So far we’ve only used it in the backyard. We purchased it for an immediate need as we needed extra space for our son to sleep while we had a family member stay with us for a month. He was very happy with the tent. The coldest it got down at night was 36 degrees. With the windows shut and just a couple comforters, he sleep very well. He didn’t get cold at all. Most nights that were in the 40s and 50s he slept with the windows open.
We are looking forward to using it outside of the backyard. I’m really looking forward to going out into the mountains with a camp stove in below freezing temps. I think this tent will work out really nice for cold weather camping with a camp stove. We may purchase a portable A/C unit (not a window unit) and use the stove jack opening for the exhaust to see how it works in hot weather. As long as it removes the humidity and cools the tent a few degrees, I think it will work well in hot weather too.

One year later and tent is worthless!!!
***BUYER BEWARE**** We bought one of these tents last summer and only used it 2 TIMES!!! We had a small dog easily rip 2 holes in it. The material seemed strong but for some reason a small dog was able to tear through it too easily. We took it to get repaired and the guy literally pulled the canvas apart with ease and told us the tent was no good! We could tell it was molded as well. We have had a nylon tent for well over a decade that is in much better shape then this tent. I believe it has something to do with the tent’s waterproofing. Even if the tent had a slight dampness to it from morning dew, it should not have molded and become easily tearible by hand. They say it has a lifetime warranty covering the waterproofing, but the company refuses to honor their warranty. Our canvas tent cost a tenth of this one and has lasted 10 times longer. ****BUYER BEWARE****

While it takes a while to set up, it is relatively easy. As a medium size women I am able to put up the centre pole on my own (with some stubborness). The floor is strong but slippery. I put down wool blankets to stop the slipping but also helps to keep it warmer. Small issue with the zipper on the door. But I found closing the zipper with the main part of the zipper instead of the zipper pulls prevents the zipper getting caught. Overall a well thought out and good quality walltent.
*Update -summer
Finally got it out on a sweltering day. It was so quick to set up (no frozen ground). We left all the windows and doors open and it didn’t get too hot inside. Still in love with this tent and looking forward to winter camping.

This seemed great till it was stored for the winter.. opening it back up into use it today. I found it was torn in over 20 places just from being stored in a garage.. conveniently can’t seem to get customer service on the phone. Will now have to order another brand.. save your money.
