Beautiful clean look
I bought 6 foot and 8 foot railings. They are gorgeous and match my oak wood steps perfectly. Smooth hand grip all the way not like the metal ones I almost bought which have anchors that bolt above the railing which stop the hand from smoothly gliding along. Contractor installed it 36 inches above each step into the studs. He would have preferred better screws and anchors so brought his own. More expensive than metal railings but glad I spent the money.

Great product
I needed to add a handrail to a staircase and was surprised to find a kit as a solution. This product worked great.The only issue I found is that the screw holes in the provided hardware brackets. They are right at 2″ apart from each other in a triangle pattern. This puts one or more of the the pre drilled screw holes & screws outside the 1.75 diameter of the lumber inside the wall. You need to install the screws at a 45 deg angle to get them to hit the wood in the wall. If the vendors pre drilled holes were closer together, customers wouldn’t need to install said screws at 45 deg angle.The kit does come with sheet rock fasteners I didn’t use as these usually pull out of the sheet rock at some point.
