A MUST HAVE for EVERYONE!ð¤©
This book is a MUST HAVE for everyone! I love how the facts are categorised by units of study. If you want to read facts about the Middle Ages-BOOM! You’re able to turn right to it in the table of contents and read it! I also love how the facts are perfect “bite-sized” summaries that are easily accessible for ALL reading levels! The breakdown of vocabulary as you read through the facts also is a great help in making the text easily accessible! Grab this for your home AND if you’re a teacher, grab a SET for your class!

Great Resource for Kids and Parents
Nothing but positive things to say about this book. My 6th graders have enjoyed reading it and learning interesting facts that sometimes donât get discussed in classrooms. The illustrations are engaging without overpowering the literature. As a parent, I find myself sifting through it randomly learning things I never knew. Will be using it as a cheat sheet when my kids ask me questions. Overall, I think this would be a great addition to both classrooms and a bookshelf at home. 500 facts felt like 10. Was a fun read, instead of overwhelming.

A Book to Hook to Learners of all Ages!
This book is full of wonderful and interesting facts to get kids talking about the “people” and “moments” of history. Brooke Kahn has done a magnificent job in curating facts and details to spark curiosity, encourage questions, and inspire conversations about the connections learners of all ages can make to past events. Organized by time periods, this makes it easy for teachers and educators alike to find pieces of information to “hook” their students into learning more about a topic. A great addition to any classroom or home library!

Not Your Average History Book
This is not your average history book! I love that this book includes interesting, lesser-known facts along with colorful illustrations. It has been broken down into chapters based on various time periods and the format on each page is very kid-friendly. We have enjoyed traveling back in time to uncover moments from history that we were not taught in school. This book would be a great addition to your classroom or school library! Please note – I was provided with an advanced review copy from the publisher.

Fascinating read for students!
The book arrived in the mail on the same day my ten year old grandson came to visit. He grabbed it as soon as I opened the mail and was engaged in reading the entire visit, stopping often to tell me something he had learned! Many of the topics aligned with what he had been studying in school which was a bonus! The illustrations were excellent in drawing him into the text.

Secular language – deliberately excluding God
Although the book is filled with great facts, and fun illustrations, I am upset and angered by Khan’s use of years being noted with secular language. For example, she wrote, “1939 CE” instead of AD. AD means “anno domini” (the year of our Lord)…and I had to look up what CE even means. It means “common era”…deliberately leaving God out! There would be no time period without Him. As an educator and parent, I still get shocked by the blatant disregard for our Savior. This is the first and last time I will be purchasing any material from Brooke Khan and her business Literacy in Focus LLC. Had I recognized this prior, I wouldn’t have given a cent to such a company! Had I read another person’s review where this was revealed, it would have dissuaded me from purchasing this book (regardless of the other positive reviews, cool facts and fun illustrations). If I hadn’t already been utilizing the book, it would’ve been returned for my money back. Another reason to beware of the indoctrination happening in our country’s school system.

This is a great book if your kid is suddenly interested in history. Easy to absorb and well laid out.

I was hoping it would have more fun elements in the book to engage the reader. But it was bit still boring like most history books.
