This book is everything!
We preordered this book and received it on the release date, which was awesome because it SOLD OUT that day!!The book is a hardcover with shiny texture details which adds to the overall look. My kids are 6 and 9 and both wanted to dive right in. The bright illustrations (well done, Jack Teagle!) draws young readers in, but the humor and informative content (Nailed it, Mindy and Guy!) makes them stay. There is also a thank you letter to your body (mad lib style) in the back of the book which was both adorable and funny. There is a section for each system of the body. Content is age appropriate for kids and explains things very clearly using correct terms, but in an entertaining way. Lots of âgrossâ stuff, which is essential to any childrenâs book about the human body. My kids especially loved the chapter on digestion, and we were all laughing until we cried in some parts. If you are offended by toots, this book isnât for you. There is some info on reproduction, but it doesnât go in depth for those who arenât ready for that discussion yet.Overall, this book is an amazing addition to our family collection. My 9 year old was fascinated and entertained and nearly read the whole book straightaway. This is a must have for any kidâs library!

Iâm glad we got this for our family
You guys did a great job on the book!! I read this to our 4.5yr old several nights a week and he loves it. There is enough content that he understands to keep him learning and interested. There is also a bunch of content that would be enjoyable all the way through middle school. My 9 year old nephew and 13 year old niece also like reading it when they come to the house. You also feel Guy and Mindyâs personalities come out in some of the stories and dialogue in the book which keeps it fun and entertaining like they are on the podcast.**oh, thought worth mentioning, I was not compensated or contacted in any way prior to this review. Honest feedback from a dad with 3 kids that are enjoying the bookHardcover version is really sturdy/durable feeling which is a bonus as a parent.A really cool read from start to finish. Itâs wild hearing our 4 year old explain that blood is made up of liquid plasma, red blood cells that carry oxygen and nutrients to the body, white blood cells that are the defenders of the body, and platelets that clog cuts. Honestly, Iâm learning a lot too. Iâm glad we got this book for our family. We found that reading it in order gave it a âstory-ishâ feel which was also a plus.

Bought it for my grandchildren
Very thorough and âstraight up.â Written in language that kids can understand, and appeals to their 2nd grade humor. Even good for teenagers who might think it a bit âelementaryâ but hidden in that presentation is information that helps ANYONE come to a deeper understanding of how the many and varied systems of the body work. I bought it as tool to arouse and appeal to what I hoped would generate some CURIOSITY about how their bodies as well as a biological and physiological understanding of what an âintricate machineâ our bodies are, how âawesomeâ they are, and the many, many things it can do even simultaneously and without our even knowing or being aware of it. As a retired pastor, Iâm also using it to help them appreciate the power of God to mastermind this âbeingâ that we know as âhumanâ, that this is the TEMPLE of God who lives within us, and that we are designed to use this âmachineâ to glorify God and to share Godâs love and beauty and wonder to others. Iâve just begun with 2 sessions, so the jury is still out as to how far I go to achieve my purposes and desires. But if itâs like other endeavors, it may take me and my grandkids to a place none of us could ever have imagined.KUDOS to the authors for their creativity and in-depth coverage of the Human Body!! Well done.

My daughter LOVES this book!
As someone in the medical field, i was so excited when my daughter loved this book. What a fun way to teach kids about anatomy! It is funny and has great illustrated photos. I would say it is best for ages 5-10.

My kid want to read this book
I struggle with getting my kids to WANT to read. This book gives them the satisfaction of learning about their own body, while peaking their curiosity and explaining topics that can be taboo like farts.

Cute book, but watch out for Puberty & Reproduction
My 6yr old is LOVING this book, and it is really very cute and fun to read. The pictures are way silly, and the personalities of Guy Raz and Mindy definitely show up in the text. My one HUGE disappointment is that there is a section in Puberty that discusses how there are more than two genders. I personally feel like this kind of hot topic definitely needs to be left to the parents to decide on whether they want their kids to be taught this. No big deal at this moment because I just skipped over reading that text, but I will be blocking out that section with permanent marker before my son can read it on his own. They also have zero mention of girls going through menstruation during puberty… which is a definite fact of life, so I donât understand the logic of skipping this but jumping to more than two genders which is NOT a fact of life (sorry!) Thereâs no mention of âvaginaâ or âpenisâ… again I guess thatâs fine since some people feel uncomfortable discussing that with their kids, but for my family those are just parts of the body that my kids know… so seems weird to skip over two very essential body parts completely when discussing the reproductive system. Overall though, itâs cute book that gives a broad overview. There are fun & interesting facts scattered throughout, but, like the intro says, itâs by no means comprehensive.

My nine-year-old son who is extremely into the human body and wants to be a doctor when he grows up absolutely loves this book. It is with amazing visuals for kids and very simple and easy to understand passages that explain the parts of the bodies in very kid, friendly, and appropriate ways, I highly recommend this book for anybody who is interested in the human body, but especially for ages 7 to 14 .

I bought this book to use in my grade 5 classroom. There are lots of great piece of info about the human body presented in engaging and colorful short bursts. My students would often ask for a body fact of the day and it was easy to find a page or two to share quickly. Things like why we had snot and what is the smallest bone in the body drew them in and got them excited about learning. I now keep it at home for my own kids.
