It’s a matter of preference. This is not a real detailed review. They are comfortable, lightweight, polarized and not very dark. I don’t like really dark glassesI have a tendency to break everything I own. I’ve never been the type to by an expensive pair of sunglasses and take care of them. So these come with a pretty decent little carrying case as well to keep her from getting scratched up if I throw them in the glove box or even the little compartment above my rear view mirror.I always buy cheap polarized glasses and it’s hard to find ones that are comfortable or don’t look cheesy. About a second pair, and I will be buying a third when I get around to it, because polarized glasses are plastic and easy to scratch. I never found a pair of polarized glasses that don’t eventually get scratched and these are my favorites so far.

2024-11-25 Update – Got the blue pair in and now I’m not sure what the difference between blue and grey is supposed to be? From the inside, one pair does seem blue but, looking through them and what they look like from the outside seems identical.These seem to work as expected. Been a little apprehensive since the days are getting shorter and the sun is harder to find! They do seem to change colors in the daylight. I like how light they are initially. Seem to darken enough for the lower late-fall sun. For whatever reason, on the first day, looking at almost every windshield I saw a halo. I knew they were polarized, even came with a little card that showed different characters as you rotated it with the glasses on, but didn’t really expect ordinary objects to show signs. Only expected my electronics to be impacted. After a few days, my brain must have figured them out because they don’t seem to have this behavior nearly as much now.

Therefore, products do not work the same way in different environments.” This is particularly true but understand they do work. I live in Oklahoma and currently sunlight and heat are a big issue. I purchased these to wear in the sunlight and while I’m driving but discovered they don’t get as dark as they mention in the description. Even the card they sent with it to use to show you the difference when in sun and not, didnt change and I went from indoor to outdoor. They fit great, are very comfy, lightweight and even when wearing while driving creates no glare. These are ok glasses, great price, just not impressed. I look at the other reviews and think “what light are they in?”

Not z87, not carbon fiber
These are listed as z87 rated. They are not marked as such. They are also listed as having carbon fiber frames. The carbon fiber is a sticker on the outside of the frame designed to make it look like carbon fiber.I use purchased these for work, and the telephone company I work for requires z87 rated. They basically stole from me here. Wow.

The glasses came quickly though the box was a bit crushed by being shipped in a paper bag.Nicely packaged with a hard case, they are of good quality.Unfortunately, I had to return them because they didn’t fit my face. (Nose too big)
