Update: while the mat still is damaged, the seller did reach out and did a full refund. I appreciate the effort they made to rectify the issue. Should I decide to order again, I would consider the seller.I had this mat one day and it got a small hole in it. I was just doing pilates and my nail slide across it…nothing major. I thought I could manage that little hole. I haven’t used it much but went to use it today and it scuffed up doing functional training. For the price I paid, you would think it would have been better quality. I highly recommend looking for a different mat. I don’t normally write reviews, so when I do, it’s normally because something is really awesome or really sucks…and this mat sucks.

I was looking for a thicker and slightly longer yoga mat.I’m only doing meditational-type yoga for stretching and calming so I don’t sweat a lot. I only bring that up as alot of folks will mention they either do/don’t slide on a mat due to sweat so I have no input on that.For my purposes this mat is stellar. I honestly didn’t realize that size would make such a big difference, but it does. I don’t have to worry about my hands or feet ending up on the floor, and the thickness helps my joints too. I’m only 40, but a thin $6 garbage mat from TJ Maxx made my joints feel like I wasn’t using a mat at all….

This mat tears easily
Having a pet friendly home this yoga mat, I would not recommend. An accidental walk across the mat tore and left nail marks. I usually do tags with my pets and my last mat was much more durable.

Great yoga mat
I really like the cushion and larger size. It works great on my tile floor. I had read in another review a complaint about the strap, that it wasn’t velcro. I personally love the loops on the ends of the strap, much easier to use than the velcro on my daughter-in-law’s, which I used this past week when visiting.
