Works well, seems reliable
This was just what I needed to check my heart rate occasionally. I just wanted a small, inexpensive device that worked, and I did not need other features such as constant monitoring, or connectivity with a mobile device. This is easy to use and came with the required battery. I haven’t tried it side-by-side with a meter at my doctor’s office, but from what I can tell, it seems to give an accurate and useful reading. (It can give you a brief scare when you first turn it on, because it displays the maximum heart rate value of 215 for a split second before the screen clears and shows your actual current measurement.)

Zacurate Oximeter vs. MiBest: Which is best in Covid era?
In this uncertain Covid era, we learned it was wise to have an Oximeter on hand to measure oxygen levels. As I started to research, I immediately discounted brands new to the market since the onset of Covid-19. Instead, I found two that had many longtime reviews from satisfied users. Two stood out, the Zacurate Pro Series 500DL and the MiBest Oximeter. To my surprise, virtually everything was sold out and I thought Iâd struck gold simply by scoring a MiBest after it was almost always out of stock. Once Iâd ordered the MiBest and delivery was delayed, I found the Zacurate and ordered it, too. Which is best?See the photo above with Zacurate in black at left, and MiBest at right. One thing to know up front is that prices are skyrocketing for finger oximeters. They are suddenly hot items on the market. Some quick research showed that the well regarded MiBest had been selling for $30 for years, but at the time of this review its price is fluctuating between $50 and $55 when purchased directly from the company. The Zacurate has always been priced at less than $30 and I felt lucky to score one to compare to the more expensive MiBest. As it turns out, the Zacurate came a week faster than the MiBest. Simply put, itâs fantastic. Is $30 too good to be true when others can be $50 and up? I truly applaud Zacurate for not taking advantage at this time of tight finances for many in need of reliable health monitoring. It comes with a useful manual yet I learned the most from quick Internet research, such as normal health oxygen levels are between 94-100 and levels lower than that but still above 90 are normal for others. If your reading is under 90, consult your doctor. The Zacurate is consistent for both oxygen and pulse readings. Place it on a flat surface, stick your index finger in, bottom side down, press button to turn on unit and wait 5-6 seconds for the readout. When the MiBest came a few weeks after I ordered it, we were already 100% satisfied with the Zacurate. It does not include much documentation but also works well and has consistent readings. If you feel you must have an oximeter in hand ASAP, and the MiBest is available, I do recommend it yet am disappointed its price at $50-55 has nearly doubled. If you can find Zacurate available, and it costs less than the MiBest, itâs the clear first choice. Itâs a trusted and very easy to use oximeter at a great price for home users like us, and medical professionals, too. Its readout is vertical, just as your finger will be. Thus, it’s easier to read than the horizontally oriented MiBest.I hope this long review has been of some assistance and wish you and yours good health and strength. We believe better days are ahead.

Simple to use and worthwhile
While having heart issues, this device is a necessity and has brought me peace of mind. It is simple to use and results are almost immediate. But be aware that AFib may render the pulse reading incorrect.

Tons of info here
I have watched Oximeters develop through the years. I worked as a Respiratory Therapist from the 70’s. The only way to tell what was going on was draw blood from an artery. Then BIG Oximeter machines came out in which saved a lot of arterial breakdown!! They also cost an amazing amount of money. They then became hand held which we thought was magic. Still big and $2000. A budget buster to any department. Now this. Anyone can afford this. It can slip into your pocket. Why do you want one? If you have any respiratory issues, you get use to breathing bad and hardly notice. If you do notice you have issues, you are probably in a bad way! With this, you know where your breathing is at. Guess work and ignoring is over. The longer you let the breathing go the harder it is to bring it back. This is an easy preventive health care.Google Buteyko Breathing Technique. We often build up too much O2 believe or not. We mouth breath because we donât breathe well, blowing off too much oxygen. It shows you how to catch your breath back if you have no inhaler handy. Its helpful. It can even help break an attack and bring you back to stable. You have to catch it early before an all on attack. Talking asthma here. COPD just be careful and mindful of what your levels are and do as prescribed. You now have solid numbers to give to your doctor which will tell him what you need to do.This is too inexpensive to not have handy! Another important tool is a peak flow meter. That will tell the amount of air that goes in and out of your lungs. IMPORTANT. You know when you are shutting down.FYI Amazon has various inhaler holders with clips you can clip on your belt or purse or backpack. I found having chiropractor adjustments REALLY help.Do you hate spacers on your inhaler? It sort of feels like you are getting nothing? You actually get MORE of the medication. It seems to line your head up right to receive the medication more direct. More importantly there is a propellent that will drop to the bottom of the inhaler (which is what makes you really shaky when you over use the inhaler) The medication goes to your lungs âcleanerâ and more direct, working far more efficiently. I was one who use to throw them away. I learned!!Also, sugar makes breathing worse. I donât know why, it does.
